Kindergarteners have also been exploring word families. We enjoyed playing a version of the card game "Go Fish" with words that end it -ot, such as pot, hot, lot, and spot. We will continue to practice reading and writing words that end in -ick and -uck.
In the folktale "The Rabbit and the Elephant", students learned about being kind and helping one another. Before reading the story, we brainstormed some things we know about elephants. After reading, Kindergarteners worked on an elephant fact book!
