Dr. Seuss Reading Day a Success!!

The United Way's Dr. Seuss Reading Day was great fun at Hosp! On Monday, March 2nd, 22 Hosp parent and United Way volunteers descended on our campus to share their love of reading with Hosp students in grades K-5. While here, volunteers read an age-appropriate Dr. Seuss book to the classroom they were assigned and gifted the book to the class. Please be certain to thank our Hosp parents who volunteered on Monday. We truly are blessed to have them so actively involved on our campus.

Children's Dental Health Month Guests Visit Hosp!

February was National Children's Dental Health Month. This month-long national health observance brings together thousands of dedicated dental professionals, healthcare providers, and educators to promote the benefits of good oral health to children, their caregivers, teachers and many others. Aesthetic General Dentistry was our very special guest at this morning's Good Morning Hosp (albeit a few days late). In addition to sharing the importance of good oral health, the Tooth Fairy left behind gift bags for each Hosp student in addition to a few surprises in the staff lounge refrigerator! Can you spy what doesn't belong?

Where Adventures Happen

We want to see where our Hosp families (including yours) are enjoying Spring Break! While you’re out at the Fort Worth Stockyards or the Alamo, or perhaps on a Breckenridge ski slope or at Cinderella’s castle, please snap a photo and send it our way. You can email the image plus a brief description (include your Spring Break locale) to hosp@friscoisd.org. Please be on the lookout for photos from your student's families as well. We’ll gather our globetrotting students and staff onto a Hosp bulletin board. Thank you!

Wondering who is going to Hawaii? You'll just have to wait and see!

The FC Dallas 'Red Friday Frisco'

'Red Friday Frisco' is back for the 2015 FC Dallas season. Started last year, 'Red Friday Frisco' is a way to celebrate our community the Friday prior to a FC Dallas home game weekend (this includes 12 school Friday's and 4 summer Friday's). There are several 'Red Friday Frisco' events scheduled this year including player autograph signings, player clinics, player book readings, mascot appearances and community service projects which can be found at www.redfridayfrisco.com. Discount tickets are also available on this site for Frisco residents.

Hosp staff are invited to participate in the 'Red Friday Frisco' program! We have been provided with free RFF t-shirts to wear each Red Friday. These will be placed in your mailbox the week of March 16th. And the really exciting part... you may wear jeans with your RFF t-shirt beginning on Friday, March 27th! Go FC Dallas!

Aesop Housekeeping

We have a fantastic group of women available to substitute on our campus on any given day. Please be certain to make arrangements with a preferred sub in advance of an anticipated absence and to enter their name as you enter your absence. If you are awaiting a return call from a prospective sub, please wait to enter the absence rather than putting it into Aesop unassigned. We have run into a few instances where substitutes who picked up a job were subsequently dropped and not notified. If you must release a sub, please give them the courtesy of a telephone call to let them know why they have been dropped. The District has worked so hard to train each of them and to bring them on board - we would feel terrible if we gave someone an unfavorable impression of Hosp or our District.
