MSU's Honors Day/Presidential Fellowship Competition

Congratulations on your outstanding academic achievements! Please accept this as an invitation to participate in Murray State University’s Honors Day on Saturday, February 14, 2015. Honors Day is the University’s first stage in the process of selecting Presidential Fellows.

Events of the Day

Registration will begin at 8:00 a.m. and activities will conclude by 5:00 p.m.

Honors Day will give students a chance to learn more about the programs on MSU’s campus geared towards high-achieving students, including the University’s Honors Program. Students attending Honors Day will also write essays and attend group interviews. Business casual is the suggested attire for Honors Day on Saturday, February 14th.

You must attend Honors Day to be considered for the Presidential Fellowship.

Presidential Fellowship Specifics

Presidential Fellowships cover the cost of tuition, on-campus housing, and the required meal plan. The fellowship is awarded for four years (eight consecutive semesters with summers excluded) or until receipt of the first bachelor’s degree.

Renewal requirements:

  • maintain a 3.2 cumulative GPA
  • maintain full-time status each semester
  • earn at least 24 credit hours each academic year
  • participate in the Honors Program
  • participate in research in the appropriate academic discipline
