Mustang Pride Reward
Mrs. Westling's and Mrs. Anderson's 4th grade classes enjoyed making a fun Owl craft and having root beer floats on Friday, January 26th for being the Mustang Pride Classroom winners!
First grade playing red light green light with the six grade mentors!
Warm January Recess!
Mrs. Callander's Kindergarteners loved recess on the last day of January. It was 50 degrees out! Look at that pile of jackets. Who needs those? They got to play in t-shirts!
Sunny Day!
Some of the students in Mrs. Verdon's TK class are posing with their shadows! The class spent time outside learning about light and exploring with their shadows!
Field Trip!
The 6th graders had an educational and enjoyable trip the the Snake River Fur Post. They had the opportunity to learn about the fur trade between the Ojibwe and the Voyageurs.
Attendance Matters!
Please read the article regarding attendance. This was also sent out in our digital Mustang Express earlier this month and in an email this week.
Lost and Found
Our lost and found is getting full. We have a surplus of items. The picture above is only some of our things. Please take the time to go through the lost and found and see if any of it belongs to you. Unfortunately, with the overwhelming amount of sweatshirts, jackets, gloves, hats, etc, we won't be able to hold much more. If items are not claimed soon, they will be donated locally.

1) We still have COVID tests in the health office available for students (and their families). They are the BinaxNow tests, and the results are pretty quick (they say they take 15 minutes).
2) If your student tests positive for COVID, it is recommended they quarantine for the 5 days from symptom onset. However, the more important things are to be fever free for 24 hours without the use of fever reducing medications, and symptom improvement. So as long as your students are fever free, their symptoms have improved and they feel well enough to be here, then they may return to school.
3) If your student tests negative for COVID, but has symptoms (cold/flu/GI, etc.), please follow the above guidelines. Fever free for 24 hours without the use of fever reducing medications, and feeling well enough to be here.
4) If your student has been exposed to COVID, they may still come to school unless they are exhibiting symptoms and are not feeling well enough to be here/with fever.
5) If your student is ill (and you do not test for COVID), please still follow the sick day guidelines. Fever free for 24 hours without the use of fever reducing medications, no vomiting/diarrhea for 24 hours and feeling well enough to be here.
The health office is really in need of pants for boys and girls. Sizes 6-8. You can drop donations off at the Elementary Office. Sweatpants are preferred over jeans. Thanks for considering!
Menstrual Products in the School Restrooms
Starting at the new year, both the Mora Elementary and High School will be providing students menstrual products that will be available to them in the bathrooms. This change is due to the Minnesota Legislature that goes into effect January 2024; the change is specifically directed towards grades 4-12. The passage of this bill makes Minnesota the 16th state to mandate free menstrual products in schools. If you have any questions, please reach out to the Elementary or High School Health Office.
