Principal's Message
Thank you very much for the awesome turnout to our Back to School Night program. It was great to see so many parents eager to support Carver Middle School, our students and programs. Thank you to our PTA and the new members who joined last week as well as the Chesterfield Public Library and our local Girl Scout troop. If you have not joined the PTA, you may do so by clicking on the PTA link below.
We are excited to begin our Fall Fundraiser. Every student brought home a packet Friday afternoon to begin the fundraiser kickoff. We have delicious treats for sale this year and the items are scheduled to arrive just in time for the Thanksgiving Holiday. Please support Carver MS and treat yourself to some of the delicious items that we have for sale. Please feel free to reach out to us if you need another fundraiser packet.
As many of you are aware October is National Bullying Prevention Month. Please remember to wear blue on Monday October 7 for World Bullying prevention day. We will have several programs throughout the month of October to remind our students of the importance of treating every person with respect and showing kindness. Your support with this effort is appreciated.
Our students completed MAPS testing this week. Please join us the night of October 10 as our Coordinator of Assessment and Remediation discusses the significance of the data behind MAPS testing.
Please take a moment to review our weekly updates below.
Thank you very much for your support and have a great week!

Message from Nurse Natalie
Hello Carver Family-
As I am writing this note to you, it still feels like summer outside, but we are half way through September and as the seasons change students who suffer from allergies and/or asthma may require emergency medication at school. Please if you have not done so already, provide the clinic with an up to date health service plan and emergency medication if needed. Copies of health plans can be found on the CCPS website via the family> health and safety > forms link:
Each school year an updated health plan is needed. If your student lives with seizures, diabetes, or any other health concern that may required treatment at school, please make sure to provide that information to the school clinic also.
THANK YOU PARENTS, I am happy to report that Carver Middle is 100% compliant with our Tdap requirement for 7th graders!
As I continue to review all immunizations for all students in all grade levels you may be receiving a letter from me in the mail. Some students may be missing a final dose of of ANOTHER required vaccine such at a final polio or Hepatitis B vaccine. Immunizations are an important and required part of school. So if you receive a letter from me please take it to your child's primary care doctor or the local health department for follow up. If their is a reason your child can or should not received a certain vaccine please call me to discuss. I strongly encourage all families to speak with your health care providers about getting the yearly Flu vaccine, as flu season has begun.
Finally, please remember to encourage HAND WASHING with your students! Hand washing is the best way to reduce the spread of germs and illness.
If you have any questions or concerns, don't hesitate to call me! Se Habla Espanol tambien!
Thank you and Be Well-
Nurse Natalie

CARVER MS WATCH D.O.G.S.
Carver Middle School is looking to launch our own WATCH D.O.G.S (Dads of Great Students) organization. This organization will be comprised of dads, grandfathers, uncles, big brothers, and any other male role models in the lives of our students. We want our WATCH D.O.G.S. to volunteer their time in our school to better enhance the learning experience for all of our students, teachers, and staff. We will take any time you have to be in our building and be an additional presence of support for our school. If you are interested, please reach out to Mr. Nathanial Wiedenhoft at nathanial_wiedenhoft@ccpsnet.net or at 804-524-3620 extension 144.
