What is Girls on the Run? Girls on the Run is a program designed to inspire girls to recognize their inner strength and celebrate what makes them one of a kind. Trained coaches lead small teams through our research-based curricula which includes dynamic discussions, activities and running games. Over the course of the ten-week program, girls in 3rd-5th grade develop essential skills to help them navigate their worlds and establish a lifetime appreciation for health and fitness. The program culminates with girls positively impacting their communities through a service project and being physically and emotionally prepared to complete a celebratory 5K event.
Registration is $150 per girl and includes:
20 ninety-minute sessions conducted by certified GOTR volunteer coaches
Curriculum and lesson materials
A healthy snack at each session
Official GOTR T-shirt and water bottle
5K Registration fee
5K Tshirt and Medal
Post 5k celebration
Financial assistance is available!! Please do not let the registration fee be the only reason your girl doesn't join.
Our coaching team is so excited to begin a new season! If you have any questions about the program, please email April Mathison at mathisona@cadott.k12.wi.us. Girls on the Run is so much fun!
