Aiming to Keep You Informed
September 13, 2019
From the Office
We started off this week with picture day! If your student was absent, please keep a look out for our picture day retake information. Students also participated in the Fall MAP (Measurements of Academic Progress) testing session on Tuesday and Wednesday. We use these assessments to monitor students continued growth throughout the year and throughout their careers in District 13. They will participate in this assessment in the Winter as a midpoint check-in and in the Spring as an end of the year check.
Cross Country kicked off their season at Clauss Park in Roselle on Thursday! We were thankful the rain held off, and Westfield Cross Country had a strong showing in their first meet! Congratulations to all our Cross Country Team runners and coaches!
Upcoming Early Release Day
Wednesday, September 18th is our first SIP Early release day of this school year. School dismissal on Wednesday, 9/18 is at 1:40pm. In the past many students have chosen to walk to the nearby business district and visit places like Starbucks, Chipotle, the Dollar Store, Walgreens and Portillo's on our Early Release days. We would like to ask you to help us in reminding your child to demonstrate great character when they visit locations in the community and interact with local residents. Thank you in advance for your assistance!
PTO Fundraiser
If you have not had a chance to participate in the PTO Fall "UnFundraiser", please consider doing so. We appreciate the amazing support we receive from our PTO parents!
Have a wonderful weekend!

Lake Park High School Sports Need You to Know...
- Any non-high school age student attending contests at the high school must be accompanied by a supervising adult. Students arriving without an adult chaperone will not be admitted to the game.
Backpacks and opened outside beverage containers are not allowed in our stadium so please plan accordingly and bring what you need to be prepared for all weather.
Admission of $3 is charged to non-high school age students over the age of five (5) years old.
If you are not being driven home by your adult chaperone, please arrange for your ride to pick you up immediately following the contest in the circle drive in front of West Campus and not in the stadium parking lot. This helps to reduce traffic near the stadium.
