Class Reflection of 2014-2015

What did I learn about myself?

Through this class, the issue analysis, written reflections, the many conversations and discussions, I have learned that I am a passionate about my beliefs in education. I have also learned that it is important to truly listen to my peers and their beliefs. I have been reaffirmed that building honest and valuable relationships with people is one of the key components to developing an effective leadership.

Working with the team I did made up of Jessica, Tim, Tracy, Cari, Molly, and Jim was definitely one of the best components of the class. No only did we work well together, I feel I have gained trusted friends along the way. Each person on the team taught me something.

Where do I see myself in the future?

Honestly, I'm really not sure. I'm letting this class unfold into whatever direction it takes me. I'm continuing to reflect on what I have learned and apply it to my professional life. I'm trying to be the best teacher I can be and the best teacher leader I can be. I am finding what makes a leader an exceptional leader, and that is what I'm striving for.
