2015-2016 Mission Statement
As members of Ballardville, we recognize that each student in ASPIRE is unique and different in his or her own way. We promise to:
- help each other learn and excel as a group in class;
- be kind, respectful, and responsible to our teacher, each other, our classroom, and ourselves;
- have a positive attitude, follow the Golden Rule, and make sure everyone feels like they fit in;
- put aside our differences and cooperate with each other respectfully;
- show kindness in and out of the classroom and treat others with care.
We expect our teacher to challenge us in a way that will help each of us excel in our learning. We like to be challenged and to think outside the box.
Our personal expectations are to be respectful and responsible. We will encourage others to be helpful and not hurtful. We will pull each other up when in need, and will help each other improve.

Important iPad Reminders
In some instances, students also came without chargers and had to borrow one from a classmate. Please check that your child has plugged in his/her iPad each night and brings their charged iPad to school with them each day.
While we do have a few open outlets in the classroom, we don't have enough for the number of students who have been regularly forgetting to charge their iPads before coming to school.
Thank you so much for your help!
GCISD Book Challenge
Our class seems to be happily working on their book challenges while at school and at home!! I love that students are so interested in exploring different genres. Remember that this book challenge is for the 2015-2016 school year. Your child can count any book (over 100 pages for the 40 Book Challenge) that they have read this school year.
Thanks so much for your support!
Please send in a baby picture of your child no later than Tuesday February 9th. This picture may be printed on computer paper, it will not be damaged and it will be returned. We will be using these pictures to put together a slideshow for our "Guess That Baby" party game.
Thank you in advance for your help!
The weather has been inconsistent the past few weeks.
Please be sure to check the forecast each day to determine what type of coat to send with your child. We go to recess at 12:15pm as long as the windchill is at or above 38 degrees.
Thank you in advance!
