Sydney's Opera House
It is shaped like a big shell and is one of the world's greatest architectural icons. Everything is stunning. The Royal Botanic Garden borders it in the south, while it is surrounded by water in the north, east, and west. Its construction was finished in 1973, designed by John Uzton.
Great Barrier Reef
The Great Barrier Reef is one of the greatest living structure in the planet. Its fragile ecosystem was stablished to be protected by the Great Barrier Reef Marine Park in 1975. It includes more than 3000 coral reefs and 600 continental islands. It is one of the seven wonders of the natural world.
Bondi Beach
It is one of the world's most famous beach. It takes only 15 minutes to got to this beach from the center of the city. It is home to one of the oldest surf life-saving clubs in the world. You can enjoy having a picnic in this beach. Many stores, cafes, and restaurants lie near the Bondi Beach.
Daintree National Park
The Daintree National Park is a Wet Tropics World Heritage Area. It is among the oldest ecosystems in the world. Its natural feature hold great spiritual significance. The park is divided in two sections. You can find crystal clear water and a place where the rainforest meets the reef. It includes more than 18,000 types of plants.
Fraser Island
The Fraser Island is the largest sand island in the world. The Fraser Island includes crystal clear freshwater lakes and creeks. It is home to more than 300 species of birds and its fauna includes wild horse, bats, dingoes, sharks, dolphins, and whales. The island does not have sealed roads.
Melbourne
It is Australia's second largest city. It is home for many theaters, galleries, shops, and restaurants. It has European feels due to the main draws of this sophisticated city on the Yarra River. It has a lot of parks, gardens, and open spaces which covers more than one third of the city's territory.
Uluru-Kata Tjuta National Park
It is one of the most photographed natural wonders in the country. Uluru means shadowy place. It rises to a height of 348m. You can find red domed shaped rocks in the park and it has a reddish look due to the rock.
Sydney Harbour Bridge
It is also considered one of Australia's most famous icons. It is the largest steel arch in the world. Its construction was finished in 1932. It connects Sydney's north to the central business district. If you visit the museum in southeastern pier, you may see the bridge's history and construction.
Blue Mountains National Park
It is considered a popular day trip from the city. It lies 81 km west from Sydney. It named for the blue haze emanating from the many eucalyptus trees. It protects more than 664,000 acres of bush land. There is 140 km of hiking trails and you may see waterfalls, dramatic gorges and different types of rocks. The three sisters are the most famous attraction in the park.
Kakadu National Park
The Kakadu National Park is located in the northern territory. It is one of the planet's great wilderness area. It is also a World Heritage Site. It covers more than 19, 840 sq km. It is the largest national park in Australia but it the second largest in the world. It is home to many mammals and reptiles and it is also home for more than 300 species of birds. You may spot salt-water crocodiles.
