Fairmont Mission & Falcon Values

Fairmont's Mission Statement:

Falcons respect and support each other while advancing and achieving our goals with integrity, effort, and individual determination.

Falcon Values: "Falcons RISE" Respect - Integrity - Support - Effort

From the Principal - Jeff Roberts

Dear Fairmont Falcon families,

I hope this message finds you enjoying a restful and rejuvenating summer break with your families. As the summer draws to a close, I wanted to take a moment to share my excitement about the 2023-2024 school year and provide you with important information and updates.

First and foremost, I want to express my sincere appreciation for your partnership and support throughout the 2022-2023 school year. It was a challenging time for all of us, but your unwavering dedication to your child's education and our school community made a tremendous difference. I understand that some students may have experienced challenges during the past year, whether academically, socially, or emotionally. Our dedicated team of educators and support staff is committed to providing an environment where every student can thrive.

We have implemented additional support systems to address any learning gaps and emotional needs that may have arisen. This includes several new employees and positions.

- Jason Adams will be coming to Fairmont from Adams Elementary where he served as principal. His new position at Fairmont is The Culture and Well Being Specialist. You will find a note from Mr. Adams in this newsletter explaining his position.

- Steve Rosendin is the new security officer that was added last spring. Mr. Rosendin has been in this role at various sites throughout his career with the Boise School District and he will continue to serve in that position here at Fairmont.

-Robin Butler will be the newest addition to our administrative team. She is coming to us from Caldwell where she served as Assistant Director of Special Services for the Caldwell School District.

Several physical changes have also been done to the school this spring and summer including new lighting all around the exterior of the school, new cameras on the exterior and interior of the school, and a new front entrance. I am very excited about the security measures that have been added to make Fairmont a safer place. In total, Fairmont added or replaced 14 staff position for this upcoming school year.

As we prepare for the new year, I encourage you to engage in open communication with your child's teachers and Fairmont's administration. We value your feedback, insights, and concerns, and we are here to work together to ensure a successful and fulfilling educational experience for your child.

I am filled with anticipation and optimism as we welcome our students back to school. The energy, creativity, and resilience they bring to our halls are what make our school community so alive and inspiring. I am confident that by working together, we will create an environment where every student can thrive and reach their full potential.

Thank you for your continued trust and support. I look forward to a fantastic school year ahead.

Very Respectfully,

Jeff Roberts

Principal

Welcome to Fairmont Jason Adams - Culture and Wellbeing Specialist

Hello Falcon Families! I am excited to join the Fairmont community this year. I had the privilege to work here as a School Counselor from 2005 to 2012. I am fortunate enough to get to join the counseling department again, this time under a different role. As the Culture and Wellbeing Specialist, part of my role is to assist the administration in strengthening our school culture. In addition, I will be supporting our staff and students in regulating stress levels and building resilience in our school community.

I am thrilled to be at Fairmont again, working with this amazing staff and this awesome community!
