Cool Cat News
Campus Brief
Cool Cats,
We can do it! Only one more Week!
Quote of the Week
"Life itself is the most wonderful fairy tale!"
~Hans Christen Anderson
Sometimes we think a fairy tale needs a prince, a magic wand. and a princess, but the truth is our world is already a magical place. Sunsets, hugs, kisses, love, friends, family, animals, and nature- these are all precious gifts we can enjoy every day in our lives.
( excerpt from Happy Thoughts by Frances VidaKovic)
I hope you are beginning to feel the excitement for Spring Break! Remember, it doesn't take a lot. Enjoy every day! Every day can be a miracle.
Staff Updates
Out on Monday- Amberly and I will be out on Monday attending an Emotional Poverty workshop with Dr. Ruby Payne. She is an American educator and author best known for her book A Framework for Understanding Poverty and her work on the culture of poverty and its relation to education. We will get to hear and meet Ruby Payne. Thank you, Angela and Kara for making sure all needs are met while we are away!
Announcement from Erin-- Just FYI in case you have already planned for the musical that was on the calendar for next Thursday, March 7th. That performance has been rescheduled for Thursday, April 4th. So … no performance next Thursday. Thanks!
We are so glad to see Erin back in her Hartman home. Please stop and give her some extra hugs! Thanks to everyone who has provided meals and other support as she transitions back into normal life after such a tremendous loss. We love you Erin.
Thank you for your participation in the staff survey. Please don't be disappointed if there are absolutely no changes next year, but if there are, Angela and I feel it's important to have your input. Don't worry, if there are changes that need to be made we will always sit down with you personally and discuss possibilities and get further feedback. If you did not complete the survey, please do! Great news! Hartman will Welcome Adina Ombadykow on board as our new Sped instructional para! Adina comes to us with a wealth of experiences and a passion for helping students be successful. We are excited to have her. She will formally introduce herself in our next newsletter! We look forward to Adina getting started next Monday or Tuesday.
Staff Shout Outs!!!
Stacey Hefner would like to thank everyone for being so flexible during TELPAS season. Teachers have been very understanding about my schedule being off, allowing me to take their kids to get writing samples completed, taking their kids to practice for online testing, and sending about a million calendar invites/updates about TELPAS. This time of year is SO stressful for everyone and it is wonderful to work with people who are willing to cut you some slack and say “Of course!” when you ask to take their kids out of class AGAIN. J Thank you!!!
She would also like to thank Angela Waters for allowing me to come interrupt her day every 20 minutes for the past few weeks. J Thank you for listening and helping me problem solve all the issues!
Shout out to Crystal Martin from Lori Booth. Crystal is always positive and professional! We appreciate her support and hard work.
