Thanksgiving Break
Remember that LHISD has off the week of Thanksgiving. There will be no school November 21-25. We hope everyone has a relaxing week!
***NEW TRANSPORTATION CHANGE PROCEDURE***
All Bill Burden transportation changes will be submitted via email to bbestransportationchanges@libertyhill.txed.net
You will access the email by going to the Bill Burden website and clicking on the "transportation" link. You will find directions there to assist you.
This method of email will be the only way transportation changes can be submitted to Bill Burden. Hand written notes and phone calls are no longer accepted effective Monday, November 7th.

Thanksgiving Lunch Schedule
Thanksgiving lunch schedule:
Thursday, Nov. 17th - 4th grade guest lunch 12:00 - 1:00
Tickets will be available for purchase at the door and in advance. Tickets will be $3.50 (cash or check). Money for tickets can be turned in to your child's teacher.
We ask that you don't take your student home after lunch (unless an illness occurs), students will be penalized attendance hours for leaving early.
We are asking for several parent volunteers to help monitor lunch and recess, if you are available to help, we would be thankful!

Math
In math we will work on fluency within the four operations--addition, subtraction, multiplication, and division. Don't forget to be working on proficiency with multiplication facts in the evening!
Science & Social Studies
In Science we will be continuing our study of the effects of force on an object such as a push or a pull. gravity, or friction.
In Social Studies we are testing our knowledge on the Mexican War of Independence and the Rebellion in Texas. Don't forget to ask your child about our great Social Studies online resource, Texas Studies Weekly (www.studiesweekly.com).
Reading & Writing
This week in ELAR we will be looking at informational text and discussing the text features and structure that one might find when reading this type of text. This week we will focus on the use of commas in our writing. We will continue looking at editing and revising paragraphs to practice previously learned skills. We will also continue discussing expository writing prompts and follow the steps of writing an expository paper.

- Pre-Register to attend select school events ahead of time
- Pre-Register OTHER family members who wish to attend, as long as the family members have completed the 1-2-3 steps of obtaining a Panther Pass at our campus
- Avoid the long visitor lines waiting to be scanned into Raptor and have your own badge waiting for you at the front office for large events
OBTAINING YOUR PREFERRED PANTHER STATUS IS AS EASY AS 1-2-3 !
- Bring a valid photo I.D. into our campus
- Your information will be entered into our Raptor system
- Obtain your Visitor Badge and enjoy your visit with us!
Now you have Panther Pass status in our Raptor System at our campus.
Next time you visit our campus, you will no longer need to bring a photo I.D. with you!
