Our Equity Team would like to partner with our parents to fulfill our mission to support our students, staff, and families by identifying and dismantling systems that perpetuate, exacerbate, or produce inequities based on race, ethnicity, gender, sexual orientation, religion, etc. If you would like to collaborate with us, please let us know HERE. If you want to learn more about our commitment to EQUITY and ANTI-RACISM, feel free to contact any of our FPHS Equity Team members: Hartley, Marzano, Wright, Laban, Apelu, Brist, Call, Chapman, Detweiler, Fineman, Goodrum, Inman, Kaunda, B. Dear Parents and Students,
This week, the fire alarm was pulled twice in the same day, causing an evacuation for the entire school. This is a very serious, criminal offense. If you have any information that would be helpful for us, please let us know.
Fighting is something that we cannot and will not allow on our campus. We want all students to feel safe here. Anyone involved in a fight, including those who are instigating or filming a fight, will receive school consequences. If you are having problems with another student, please inform your parents, teachers, and/or school administrators right away.
No school this FRIDAY (5/27) or next Monday (5/30)!

Decorating Grad Caps Guidelines
Decorating graduation caps is a tradition to honor your accomplishments, your families, and/or your future endeavors. You are not required to decorate your cap, but if you do so, please, observe the following rules when decorating your graduation cap. Failure to follow these rules will result in the removal of the cap at the ceremony. Students WILL NOT be allowed to participate in the ceremony without a graduation cap. We do not have replacement caps. Do not do anything to embarrass or discredit you, your family, your school, or your community. The graduation ceremony is a formal ceremony.
Decorated caps MAY NOT:
● Contain any advertisement, symbols, abbreviations, initials, words, slogans, patches, or pictures that refer to drugs, controlled substances, tobacco, alcohol, weapons, or be of a sexual nature. Unknown abbreviations will NOT be permitted.
● Convey any affiliation with gangs, violence, illegal activity, hate groups, defamation, discrimination, racism, or bullying.
● Be obscene, profane, or vulgar.
● Threaten the safety and welfare of any person or negatively target any group.
We encourage the following cap decorations:
● Gratitude toward a parent, grandparent, teacher, friend, or loved one.
● Recognition for the university/school you will be attending or career path you’re pursuing.
● A significant, meaningful, inspiring, and appropriate quote.
● Future dreams and aspirations.
● Recognition of your heritage, ancestry, or culture.
● Other creative and positive messages or images that represent YOU!
* Students, we strongly suggest you trace your cap onto scrapbooking paper or thin cardboard and decorate the paper or cardboard instead of the actual cap. If you make a mistake, you can start over with a new piece of paper or cardboard. FPHS will not furnish new caps if you are not happy with your design or damage the cap. After you decorate it, stick it to your cap with double-sided tape or Velcro stickers. FPHS Administration will not allow anything that is considered inappropriate for the graduation ceremony.
Family and Community Partnerships:

NEW Performing Arts Center!
We are very excited about breaking ground on our new Performance Arts Center! We are in eager anticipation of the day that we can fully showcase the talents of our band, orchestra, choir, drama programs, and so much more!
- Part of the "cost" for a new Performing Arts Center is going to be a little dust, a lot of change, and even a few inconveniences. Please, bear with us as we enter the "under construction" phase starting Monday after Spring Break with an estimated completion date of the start of the 2023-24 school year.
- Student and Staff Parking: All staff and students must park together in the current student parking lot alongside 112th St. The section nearest the tennis courts will be reserved for staff parking. The section nearest the stadium will be reserved for student parking. Students and staff must drive all the way around the school to access the new student/staff parking lot. Please, do not cut through the drop-off and pick-up zone to park. See below for a visual.
- AM student drop-off and PM student pick-up and zones. Please, do not park in the drop-off and pick-up zones between 7:30am and 3pm.
- Main Entrance: The main entrance to the building is no longer accessible. The new main entrance is on the south end of the main building near the student pick-up and drop-off zone.
- Handicapped Parking will be relocated to the stalls in the drop-off zone nearest the new main entrance.
- Bicycle Parking is relocated to the 1400 building (outside the band classroom).
- Pedestrians in the drop-off and pick-up zone will use the pedestrian walkway along the fence line.
- The Performing Arts Center will become the new "face" of the school and will sit where the current flag pole and drop off loop sits.
- As with all construction projects, almost everything is subject to change. We appreciate your patience and understanding.
