Thank you Pioneer Caregivers,
Congratulations to our EXTRAORDINARY Pioneer Field Hockey Team for winning the state championship! Congratulations to our Men's Water Polo, Women's Cross Country, and Men's Cross Country Teams for winning Regional Championships!
We had a great week at Pioneer! Did you know Pioneer High School was the first High School in Michigan to be accredited? It's true! Since 1904 Pioneer High has been accreditation and this year we want to thank our accreditation team of Ms. Crowley, Mr. Kass, Ms. Martin, Ms. Craigmile, and Ms. Sonsara for all of their work as we prepare for our accreditation review in March. Thank you to the team for their work this week on getting certified to make observations at Pioneer! Soon Pioneer caregivers will be asked to take a survey about Pioneer. Your participation in vital in our continued success at Pioneer High School
Last Friday marked the end of the First Quarter at Pioneer. Teachers will submit final quarter grades on Wednesday, November 1st. Caregivers will not get a hard copy of your student's report card. Report cards will be visible on PowerSchool soon after November 1st via PowerSchool. If you have any questions please contact your student's Principal.
This week we have an early release on Tuesday, October 31. On Friday, November 3rd we will have a club day schedule but it will NOT be a club day. We will keep students in their 2nd hour during club time to complete the Equal Opportunity Survey and the COGNIA School Accreditation Survey. The schedule is posted below.
Parent Teacher Conferences will be held on Thursday November 2. A separate email will go out to parents via school messenger on Tuesday. Also on Thursday, the Pioneer ACTION Team will be hosting a Trunk or Treat for all elementary schools that feed into Pioneer. This event will go from 6pm-8pm. This is the inaugural event. If you are interested in donating candy to the student leadership group, please drop off candy at the Main Office for ACTION! Thank you Pioneer!
Be Extraordinary!

Email for Absences: pioattendance@aaps.k12.mi.us
We are seeing a rise of students arriving at the school under the weather. We encourage students and staff that are under the weather to stay home for the day. Coming to school and spreading germs causes the cycle of more staff and students to catch illnesses. It is best for everyone. Many assignments can be captured in Schoology. Students can easily communicate with teachers about work assigned and/or missed via email (Staff Directory) and within Schoology.
Attendance email: pioattendance@aaps.k12.mi.us
Please do not call the attendance line until further notice. We are planning to hire someone to cover that position; it is currently not filled. The position of Book Depository/Attendance Office Professional will be posted soon and we would love for someone connected to the Pioneer community to serve in that capacity.
