Virtual Yearbook Signing!

Since we won't be able to host a yearbook signing the last day of school, we are encouraging students to participate in a virtual yearbook signing!

Students can write positive notes to other CMS students through the following Google form:

We will print these and distribute to students at the end of the year. Deadline for submissions is Friday, May 8.

TikTok Challenge

Calling all Tik Tokers!

We are challenging you to show us what you’ve got! Maybe you’ve nailed the newest dance trend or maybe you have a funny quarantine story time to share. Whatever it may be, we want to see those creative juices flowing!

How to participate:
• Create your TikTok video and post it to your TikTok account using the hashtag #SoDuluth and tag the City of Duluth TikTok account (@CityofDuluthGA)
• Check out the #SoDuluth hashtag and vote for your favorite video(s) by liking them.
• The video with the most likes by April 30, 2020 will be awarded a $25 gift card to a local business.

• There are no limits on the number of entries each contestant can submit.
• All entries must be family friendly.
• To be considered, contestants must use the #SoDuluth hashtag and they must tag the City of Duluth account on TikTok.
• All videos submitted with the #SoDuluth hashtag may be downloaded and shared across the City of Duluth social media.

Duluth Shines Virtual Talent Competition

Have a talent you want to show off? Join us for the very first Duluth Shines virtual talent competition!

There will be two rounds with the first round being judged by Mayor Nancy Harris, Eddie Owen from Eddie Owen Presents and Jordan Sasser from season 15 of American Idol. In the second and final round you, the audience, will choose the winner! Winner(s) will receive a $50 gift card to a local business.

All applications must be submitted by end day on May 1, 2020. The contestants that make it to the final round will be notified by May 8, 2020 and the winner will be chosen via Facebook Live on May 13, 2020.

End of the Year Processes (including Yearbook pick up, etc..)

We are currently working on updating our end-of-year processes and will communicate to you when students will be allowed to access to the building to pick up personal belongings or return books or other items to the school.

This will certainly happen after the shelter-in-place order has been lifted. Stay tuned for more details.
