Great Things Happening in Our Classrooms at West Middle School!
Both Mr. Kraus and Ms. Mellenbruch use Interactive Notebooks to support student learning! Interactive notebooks support students in becoming independent thinkers, writers and be creative. They are used for class notes and other activities where students will be asked to express their thoughts, post questions, process the information, highlight, underline, circle and/or mark with colors.
Assessment and Learning
Toss and Commit is a fun and interactive activity that can be used for checking on prior knowledge or checking for understanding. It can be used at the beginning of class or at the end to drive your instruction.

Checking for understanding activities should not be graded.
