Multi-Intelligence Testing
And how to use it in the classroom
K-12
Big Idea
We all come with different smarts. There are tons of different types of intelligence tests out there. This is to simplify the guess work with a few easy choices to assess your students and how to meet their learning smarts in the classroom.
Directions
Allow 30 minutes to complete. Some students may need the questions read to them. Score the results and print if necessary. Discuss the results with the whole class. We talk about the implications of having so many different "smarts" in our class. I even have my students write about their results: what is the significance of your results from this multi intelligence test? Save results for student's portfolio. Have students' share their results at their student led conference.
When to use
Use at the beginning of the year or when a new student arrives.
