November 1, 2021

Message from Mrs. Morgan:

October was a busy, but fun month! November will fly by and then December is a short month of school as well!

Walton County's PTO/PTSO officers are hosting the first annual Festival of Trees on Saturday, November 13th at Loganville Middle School from 9:00 a.m. to 4:00 p.m.. Sharon Elementary School students have been busy creating ornaments, decorations, and more during the STEM lab to create a tree that will be on display and available for bidding during the Silent Auction. Come kick off your holiday season by supporting our young engineers who have worked hard to make this LEGO-themed tree a one of a kind!

SES Chorus and Music Club are performing, come out and support SES at the Festival of Trees!

United Way

We are excited about the launch of our 2021 United Way campaign! Every single penny donated through this campaign will go directly to the nine local agencies supported by the United Way of Walton County.

This past year, one out of every three people in Walton County was served by at least one of the United Way agencies. That alone could mean roughly 5,200 Walton County School District students and teachers were able to have their needs met because of the generosity and support of United Way donors — like you.

Step: 1: Claim one (or five!) of these squares by emailing your child’s teacher with the square # you want.

Step 2: Send in cash or check for the amount on your square (checks made payable to SES).

*Each class will receive donuts & juice once the grid is completed. The FIRST class on each grade level to complete their grid will receive a pizza party!!!!!!

PBIS (Positive Behavior Interventions and Supports)

Our first ROAR party "Fan Fest" was a lot of fun! November's theme is "Red Carpet Cinema!" Students will watch a 3-D movie and enjoy popcorn and a drink.

Students need to have earned at least 140 points to attend.

November's character trait is Respect! Respect: Thinking and acting in a positive way about yourself and others.

PTO Corner:

Thank you all for the candy donations for trunk or treat, it was so much fun! We raised over $4,700 with Charleston Wrap, thank you all for your participation! This month is the Fall Festival and we are still in need of volunteers to run the class carnival games, please reach out to your room mom if you can help! Breakfast with Santa, Festival of Trees, and the silent auction are also all happening this month. Thank you so much for supporting the SES PTO!
