January 2, 2021
I hope you and your family were able to enjoy your break and the extended time without the hectic schedule of distance learning. Given the significant increases in reported COVID cases in our community and county, we will continue to move forward in the at-home model of distance learning. Continue to watch for periodic district updates on this topic, and reach out to your teacher or the school office if you need assistance in any way. We look forward to helping you and having our students together again. We have missed them!

Monday, January 11 Equity and Inclusion Committee, 6:00 PM (Zoom link to come)
Wednesday, January 13 Governance Council Meeting, 6:00 PM (Zoom link to come)

A reminder about iPad updates
Over the winter break families received a message about a need to upgrade to the latest iOS version available for your student's iPad. For iPad Airs (K-2 students or the device number on the back starts with K2), this should be iOS12.5. For most other iPads, this should be iPadOS14.3. These upgrades are intended to fix a number of security issues found in older iOS versions as well as to increase application stability. After the iOS upgrade, a number of apps will automatically upgrade within the next 24 hours. For this reason, please complete the upgrade as soon as possible. Make sure the device is charged to at least 50%. Leave it plugged in throughout the process. It should talk about one hour.
For iPad Airs, just do step 1 of the attached guide. For all other iPads, please do all steps. Note that “Cross-website tracking” in step 3 might not be needed based on the version of Canvas Student/Teacher installed at the time of the upgrade. If you don’t see “Cross-website tracking,” just do the “Reset cache” part of the step.
Directions are attached below.
