About 25,000 people will die of starvation today. Food is scarce but people suffer from hunger because they can't afford food in the first place. As the population grows, more land is taken, and more people are thrown in to poverty because they can't find a home.

About 3 species are driven to extinction every hour; 30,000 every year. Worldwide, 12% of mammals, 12% of birds, 31% of reptiles, 30% of amphibians, and 37% of fish are threatened with extinction.
