The Human Population
by Jairo
Growth
The human population grows every day. More than 350,000 babies were born today and about 131.4 million are born each year. More people are thrown into poverty because of the increase in use of land. There is currently more than 7.4 billion people in the world. This dramatic increase in the population comes with some consequences.
Food
About 25,000 people will die of starvation today. Food is scarce but people suffer from hunger because they can't afford food in the first place. As the population grows, more land is taken, and more people are thrown in to poverty because they can't find a home.
