BOOK-O-WEEN!

COMING TO ERWIN OCTOBER 28-31!

BOOK-O-WEEN BOOK FAIR

Don't miss this opportunity to buy some great books and support the school library.

Special Book Fair Events:

Grandparent's Day, Wednesday, October 29 - invite a "grand" guest to lunch and some one-on-one book fair shopping time.

Family Literacy Night, Thursday, October 30 - enjoy some family book fair shopping time and engaging grade level literacy acitivities.

The money the school earns through the book fair fundraiser supports the school library and is the main source of funds for purchasing new books for Erwin’s students. Buying books at the book fair puts more books on the shelves and in students’ hands.

Thank you for your support.

CREATE A CHARACTER PUMPKIN!

Pumpkins will be displayed in the library during Book Fair.

Will you use a big or little pumpkin?

Will you carve, paint or cover your pumpkin?

Will your pumpkin become a picture book character or the main character from your favorite novel?

IT'S UP TO YOU!

Pumpkins will be accepted for display no earlier than Tuesday, October 28.

Pumpkins must be decorated as a book character (not a TV or movie character) and labeled with the book title and author.

Pumpkins must be able to be sent home or picked up on Friday, October 31.

DRESS TO IMPRESS ON OCTOBER 30!

What is your favorite book? Who is your favorite book character?

Create a costume to represent your reading interests, wear it to school, and share your favorite book character with friends.

Be creative -- reuse and recycle to create a one-of-a-kind costume!

Costumes should represent characters that originated in books. Movie characters, such as Frozen, are not appropriate even though books were written after the movie was released. Superhero characters are also not appropriate for this event.
