District Celebrates Eagle Retirees!

Argyle ISD held a special retirement celebration for three Eagle teachers. Argyle High School's Kimberly Kass (pictured right with her family & Principal John King) taught in the district for the past 20 years and served 35 years in public education. Kass, who also served as UIL Academic Coordinator, taught AP, dual-credit, and honors biology and physical science.

Ron Veit served the past 13 years in Argyle ISD and joined Argyle Intermediate when it opened in 2008. He has worked 25 years in public education and as a teacher and counselor.

Carrie Becker taught for three years at Argyle West and is retiring after 22 years in public education. She has taught math, technology education and Instructional Technology.

Argyle Debate Competes at UIL State Competition

Members of the Argyle High School Debate team competed the past two days at the UIL State Speech Meet in Austin. These Eagles have done an amazing job competing this season in the midst of so many challenges. Here are the state results:

Have A Great Summer Eagles!

What a way to finish the school year Eagles! We won't soon forget that memorable 2021 downpour that capped off the school year at the End-of-The-Year Celebration and In-N-Out Burger Drive-Thru for teachers and staff.

All smiles rain or shine! Thank you teachers and staff for such a great year responding so well to all the different challenges that came your way. Enjoy a fantastic and well-deserved summer break Eagles!

Board Trustees Sworn In; Board Officers Remain In Place

During the regular School Board meeting on Monday, May 17, the re-elected Trustees were officially sworn in. Ritchie Deffenbaugh (bottom right) was re-elected in Place 4 along with Dr. Leona McDade in Place 5. Trustees serve three-year terms.

The Trustees also voted for officers during the meeting. The positions will remain the same with Sam Slaton (pictured middle) serving as President, John Bitter (pictured left) as Vice President and Craig Hawkesworth as Secretary. Click here to visit the School Board webpage. The next regular meeting is scheduled for Monday, June 21. All meetings are held at 800 Eagle Drive and are open to the public.

Kindergarten Registration Open for 2021-2022

Argyle ISD is excited to announce Kindergarten Registration has started for the 2021-2022 school year. We can't wait to welcome our new kindergarten Eagles in the fall!

The registration process will be done online and families can click on the campus link below for Argyle West Elementary or Hilltop Elementary. If you know of a kindergarten parent coming into the district please help us in sharing this information.

Lady Eagles Looking To Bounce Back in Game 2 Tonight

The Lady Eagles' softball team will try to fight off playoff elimination tonight in the Class 4A Region I Final vs. Iowa Park.

Argyle lost the series opener 6-3 on Thursday. The series is being played at Bowie High School. Game 2 will start at 7 p.m. and will be carried live on sportsgram.net. The Lady Eagles have fought off elimination four times during their historic playoff run.

Eagles Head West to Face Andrews in Region I Semifinals

The Argyle Eagles' baseball team will battle Andrews in a Class 4A Region I Semifinal series that starts Friday at Abilene Christian University. The Eagles (27-8) are coming off a quarterfinal series sweep vs. Benbrook last week.

Argyle has swept each round of the playoffs and only allowed three runs in six games.

Game 1 is scheduled for 7:30 p.m. and Game 2 will be Saturday at 12 p.m. and Game 3 will follow, if necessary. Tickets are $9 adults and $5 students. Games will be carried live on sportsgram.net.
