EDUCATE YOURSELF – FAQ’s ABOUT WISCONSIN PARENTAL CHOICE PROGRAM
At our open forum comments questions were raised about would we be locked in the choice program if we decided to enroll in the program:
Are we “locked into the program” if we vote yes?
NO, we are not. If the congregation votes yes and proceed with the program we can exit the program after the registration window closes at the end of April if we do not have enough interest in the program for it to be financially feasible. At that time we would only have invested the five hundred dollar application fee. If we proceed with the program for the 2018-2019 school year and during the year decide the program is not working for Trinity we do not have to enroll in the program the following year. We have developed an exit strategy which would allow us to be able to leave the program if we would ever decide to.
What is our exit strategy?
10% is set aside each year in an account to help families in the program if we would leave the program.
A portion of the money left over after the cost of the program is set aside to be used the following year to help with the transition if we would decide to leave the program.
Please talk to any committee members and share your questions, comments, and concerns. You can get contact info from the school office.
The next WPCP Forum will be this Sunday, November 19th at Noon in the Fellowship Hall there will be three WELS principals here to answer your questions about how the choice program has affected their schools and congregations.

TLS Winter Sports Fee & Volunteer Fee
Winter Sports Fee for C Teams is $25 and $35 for A and B teams. Please submit as soon as possible and/or check with office if you are unsure if you paid.
Also this year, we are asking each family (NOT STUDENT) for a $50 volunteer check (separate check from sports fee) that will be refunded at the end of the season when your volunteer hours are met. Volunteer hours will be a minimum of 2 hours per child playing/participating. ALL FEES need to be paid before uniforms are handed out to the students. We will have many opportunities for volunteering either at the concession stand OR score table. If you wish not to volunteer, please let us know and we will cash the check and accept it as a donation to the TLS Booster Club. (This includes dance, basketball, and wrestling teams). Wrestling is included because we do not host any wrestling tournaments or meets. If you have any questions, please don’t hesitate to contact Mr. Rydecki or any Booster Club member. Thank you!
LUNCHROOM VOLUNTEERS
Lunch and Playground Duty happens throughout the school year during the lower grades lunch and recess times on Monday, Wednesday and Fridays. This is a great opportunity to spend a little time with your student(s), helping out teachers by giving them a well deserved lunch break and get to know other students as well as have them get to know you as a safe and familiar face. You can sign up for this as little or as much as you want.
Spots are in need of filling for the upcoming months.
