Empower Update
This week all students will have the opportunity to learn from our Positive Action curriculum. The following are focus points for each grade level:
6th Grade:
Students will learn the importance of having a balance of physical, intellectual, and social emotional well-being. Students will also be given a healthy food and exercise challenge as they will record their daily food and physical activity for the next two weeks.
7th Grade:
Students will create positive action cards that demonstrate success and happiness. They will be introduced to the concept that success and happiness occurs when we feel good about who we are, what we are doing, and how we treat others.
8th Grade:
Students will learn that treating others with empathy and compassion will improve their positive identity. Students signed an 8th Grade Code of Conduct in Empower last week, and they all agreed that they would like to be treated with empathy, compassion, respect, fairness, and kindness, so they will choose to treat others they way they want to be treated!
