Weekly update for the Meadows Elementary School community

Meadows- Week of 11/16-11/20

Good Evening Meadows Families,

As we reflect upon the things for which we are thankful, Meadows staff and teachers are thankful for our students who come to school every day prepared for learning. As a school, we are also thankful for our parent support and partnerships including our PTSA and Foundation. We appreciate every individual in our school community especially our teachers and staff going above and beyond for our students and school. For this, we are thankful.

This week is full of events including a distribution day tomorrow and Tuesday, APEX fundraiser pep rally and kick off, PTSA Association Meeting, Meadows Care Restaurant Night, canned food drive, and Parent Conferences.

For Distribution, please put your child's first and last name in your vehicle window. Please include the grade level and teacher name so our staff can easily retrieve your items.

Meadows wishes all of you and your families a happy, healthy and relaxing Thanksgiving holiday!

With Thanks,

Dr. Juliet Fine

Principal of Meadows

2020 Meadows Elementary Veterans Day Tribute

Veteran's Day Tribute Video

Thank you again to all of the Meadows families who participated in our two-day Veterans Day event this last week. A special thank you to Mr. Guzman for sharing his historical art collection, Mrs. Stacey Hamblin, PTSA President for the beautiful video and banners from PTSA, Mrs. Wiggins, Meadows Office Manager, and our Safety Supervisors for a very special two day event.

Your participation created a beautiful tribute to honor all veterans, both past and present, while giving our children the opportunity to learn about our veterans in a more personal and interactive environment.

We’d also like to extend a humble thank you to those who shared their personal family photos to honor their beloved veterans. We dedicate our 2020 Meadows Elementary Tribute video to our Meadows veteran community.

“We recognize and celebrate the heroes all of our veterans, we shall forever be grateful. You inspire and encourage us, your unselfishness, your courage, and your willingness to protect our freedom – no words can express our thanks.” – Kate Summers
