January 29, 2016

Last week I talked about our basketball games getting cancelled due to the weather. This week I am going to talk about how proud we are of our awesome Pirate basketball players on their outstanding results at the Suburban Conference end of season tournaments. The Girls A Team ended in 5th place and finished the tournament with a win! Girls B Team won all three of their games and brought home the championship trophy!!! Both boys teams brought home some hardware, as well, with Boys A Team placing 3rd and Boys B finishing out in 2nd place!!! All of the kiddos pulled together, worked it out as a team, and finished on a high note! We couldn’t be more #pcmsproud of our student athletes and coaches!!!

Note from the Nurse

As this year is flying by, please take a moment and check your child's immunization record. If your child is entering the 8th grade next year, they will need to provide proof of having the Tdap and Meningococcal vaccines BEFORE they can obtain their class schedule for next year at Enrollment. This is an exciting time for the kids, and the last thing they want is to be told they cannot get their schedule on Enrollment Day! If you have any questions please contact the nurse,Tammy Kobush at 816-858-2036 or kobusht@platteco.k12.mo.us.

Yearbook Orders

All students were given a Yearbook Order Form this week, so hopefully you have had a chance to see it. This year there are two ways you may order. You can return the order form and money to the PCMS office, OR you may order online. An order form is attached to the main email for your convenience.

District Calendar

The 2016-2017 District Calendar has been approved by the Board of Education. Feel free to take a peek at it for future planning!
