From the Principal's Desk
THat is a Wrap! This year has been one none of us will soon forget. For so many reasons, and I want to highlight all of the great accomplishments. I have seen huge amounts of maturity, growth, and building of independence for all of our students both our in-person students and our remote students. Throughout the year I have had the unique pleasure to observe, visit, interact, read to, teach and celebrate with our students at Lincoln, but also those in the many wonderful remote classes that make up D303 Virtual school. This week I read to Ms. Oster and Ms. Schiewe's class. I watched Ms. McConkey's class add significant objects to our time capsule and share their poetry book. I listened to second graders read their fractured fairy tale books. I watched both the talent show and the drama club performances, Wow was I impressed--so much talent and creativity. Below I am sharing a doc that highlights all of the resources available all summer long to continue the forward trajectory. Take the time to read online or a book in the soon to be opened library, engage in the library challenge below-visit parks and museums, play board games. Investigate your curiosities!
This year has caused us all to reflect on what truly matters, our kids worked hard and the results are incredible. We all deserve a little rest and relaxation, and hopefully, some returning to things we truly enjoy. I look forward to outdoor concerts, attending a pool to swim some laps, and of course my annual extended family fishing trip to northern Wisconsin. Take this time to reconnect, recharge, and relax. Have a great summer break!

BAND UPDATE from Mrs. Rice
Fourth Grade Families- Now is the time to enroll your child in band and summer band class!
In order to help me plan for the 2021-2022 school year, please try to enroll your child in band by Wednesday, May 26th.
We do accept summer and fall sign-ups, but enrolling before this school year ends ensures that your child will have a spot in our summer camp, and a rental instrument lined up for them. If you sign up now but then realize over the summer that your child can not commit to band, just email me- we will be able to take your child off the band list.
ENROLL NOW! For band!
Summer band is a great way to get a head start on learning a band instrument-sign up soon!
