RHS Science and Engineering Fair!
Stop by Innovate Newport on Monday, December 20th, to check out the amazing work by the Rogers High School students at the 2021 Science & Engineering Fair.
Viewing Time: 6:00 - 7:30pm
Where: Innovate Newport, 513 Broadway (old Sheffield School), 2nd floor
Parking: at Innovate Newport parking lot, with overflow parking next door at The Church of Jesus Savior.
Bellevue Nutrition hosting Fundraiser for the Rogers Key Club
Bellevue Nutrition is hosting a fundraiser for the Key Club this weekend 12/18 from 8am-2pm and 12/19 from 9am-1pm. Funds are being raised to help support the family adopted through Looking Upwards for the holidays along with toy donations to the MLK Center.
A percentage of all sales on a shake and tea combo will be given back to the Key club to support the cause. You just have to mention the fundraiser when you order. Thank you for your support!

Calendar Fundraiser by the Class of 2023
The Class of 2023 is having a Calendar Fundraiser ( 20 Day Giveaway ) during the month of February. The calendar offers different prizes for each of the 20 days, with the grand prize being a night's stay at the Brenton Hotel. Winners will be drawn daily. Tickets cost $10 for 1 ticket, $20 for 3 tickets and $60 for 10 tickets, they will be sold from now until the last winner has been drawn.
Juniors will be come around during crew to sell tickets. You can also see one of the class officers; Jackson Steiner, Catherine DeAngelo, Patrick Bryan, Matt Mullins or Mrs. Canole (room 362) to purchase tickets.
Teen Events at the Newport Public Library
Friday, December 17 - ARC Book Club at 4:30 in YA
Ms. Becky gets the hottest titles before they're off the presses! You read 'em and tell her what you think. Like it, we'll order it! Don't like it, probably not (unless it's really well reviewed and popular in other libraries :). And, oh yeah, enjoy tasty snackswhile we chat. If you want to write your review out ahead of time, try this review form with an easy to follow example from Ms. Becky.
Monday, December 20 - Silent Book Club at 4:30 in YA
With holiday festivities facing us at every turn (and only 3 more days of school!), it is hard to stay focused on your studies. Here's your chance for a mental reset. Come on in, read or do some studying for 1 hour and get tasty treats in return! It's a great way to prepare yourself for the upcoming 1/2 week of school.
Tuesday, December 21 - Drawing & Sketching from 3-7 in YA
De-stress by putting pen, pencil or marker to paper and let it all flow out of you. You might be surprised at what beautiful creations are inside of you!
Wednesday, December 22 - Dungeons & Dragons at 4:30 in YA
If you are registered, thar be dragons awaiting you! If you are not a registered member of this group, we encourage you to watch for upcoming information on a new group we are working to start up. Any Dungeon Masters out there willing to commit 1 afternoon a week to the library? We are willing to sign off on community service hours if you need them.
Thursday, December 23 - the library will be closing at 5 so we will not be hosting any events.
Friday and Saturday, December 24 & 25 - the library will be closed, but don't miss Ms. Christina's FCF release of Gearbreakers on our YouTube channel, NPT YA.
Monday, December 27 - Silent Book Club at 4:30 in YA
The Christmas chaos has come and gone. What is a teen to do? Curl up with a good book, of course. And, if you do it at the library, you'll get snacks just for reading! Need some advice? Here's a good place to start, Ms. Becky's overview of existing displays in YA (available on our YouTube channel, NPT YA, if you can't get the links).

Are you going stir crazy at home? We've got the solution! Come on in with your BFF, or just a few F's, and play twister or get wrapped up in our life size board games: Jenga stands as tall as you!

By teen request, Ms. Christina will be "bedazzling" pumpkins with jewels, google eyes and more in our downstairs program room. Come on in and bust that boredom!
