  • Van Meter Library Voice recently posted resources for "Poem in Your Pocket Day," -April 18th. A google doc has been shared for educators to share resources and more ideas can be found at Poets.org

  • Be sure to check out Tech4Learning's Creative Educator for instructional ideas. Creating a Video Poem is a lesson for 4-12 using Pixie, Wixie, Frames or another app of choice.

  • Instant Poetry Forms is a great site to connect and motivate learners with poetry. Yes, these forms do work on mobile devices too. This is a great tool to teach the language of poetry. Here is a great pdf - Poetic Devices for your toolkit.

  • Poetryforkids.com is another great resource for the younger learner. They have a mobile version to share poetry.

  • ReadWriteThink has an interactive acrostic poem creator that will only work on some devices since it is flash driven. They do have their own mobile app - Word Mover with many lesson ideas at Read Write Think.
