Centennial's Newsday Tuesday
Centennial Elementary Families' Weekly Newsletter 8/31/21
A Note from the Principal
Thank you for all you did to make our Back-to-School night a success; whether you enjoyed this overview from the comfort of your home or inside of our building, we hope that you enjoyed getting to know more about the workings of your child's classroom and day!
Our teachers are finishing their beginning of the year AimsWeb assessments for reading and math and we will be sharing those results with you when that process is complete. If you have any concerns about your child's performance, staying in touch with your child's teacher is the best way to help. =
We thank you from the bottom of our hearts for the understanding, patience and grace with which our Centennial family continues to show in regards to "pivoting" as needed when we learn of COVID exposures on our campus.
This time continues to be exceptionally trying in all ways imaginable; like you, we are taking things one day at a time, doing our best to plan for long-term success while showing flexibility as needed. We are wishing all of you (and your families) well and look forward to these "crazy" times to be behind us.
Thank you for supporting Centennial's fantastic teachers, our Centennial and EPS staff. I see evidence daily of exceptional humans giving their best each day through their tireless work, creative minds, resilient humor and dedicated hearts! Thank you for letting them know that you see and appreciate them, and of the difference they are making; your support means more than you know!
Thank you to our fantastic PTO and parents who volunteer and do so much behind the scenes work to help us. Whenever we need more help, the PTO leaders, volunteers, and "Watch D.O.G.S" are the fuel behind so much of what we do!
We are so fortunate, especially in these challenging times, to have a truly outstanding staff and community that bonds together like none other to withstand and overcome!
We are, and will remain, committed to your child's success.
Finally, a reminder to ENJOY your 4-DAY WEEKEND with your students (Friday is a staff planning day and Monday is the Labor Day holiday!)
With appreciation and kind regards,
Ellie Webb, Principal

Centennial Families are Simply THE BEST!
Families, our PALS and PTO members are welcome and valuable members of the Centennial Family!
To honor our district's safety protocols, we request that volunteer activities at this time take place in the PALS & PTO rooms on our campus. Thank you for understanding and know that, just like you, we can't wait until we may welcome precious and valued family members in more frequently! For more information about these safety protocols, please click here.
In Case of Absence
Families, did you know that you may call 405-726-4699 any time to leave a message regarding your student's need to be absent or tardy? We encourage this so the phone lines aren’t tied up in the morning during AM drop off. If a family accidentally forgets to call on when a student is absent, an automated call goes out at 10:30 to families who have not yet reported their child is absent as a reminder. Thank you!
