March Technology Happenings
Your pot of technology gold....
Hello All!
March comes in like a lion...and leaves like a lamb. We are beginning our countdown to the end of the school year. Testing is right around the corner. Testing time is often a good time to allow students to work on technology based projects. Students often enjoy building web sites centered around their passions or career interests. If you would like some help, or ideas, about anything tech, please feel free to reach out to me! debbie.turner@henry.k12.ga.us
Don't spend hours looking for resources.....
Let me do it for you! One of the services that we offer at KSU iTeach is OnDemand services. All you have to do is complete a survey letting me know what you need, and I will currate resources and provide tutorials for you! It is just that easy. I can also meet you in my online chat room to discuss resources at your convenience. Want an extra set of hands in your classroom to assist with technology projects...I can help with that too! Simply complete the survey using the link below to let me know what you need. That's it...simple, OnDemand resources! Oh...I almost forgot...On Tuesday, March 12th, I will spin my online wheel and one lucky teacher that has submitted an intake form will receive a gift card to the new Miller Ale House restaurant. Good luck!
St. Patrick's Day Lesson?
Tour Builder is a new way to show people the places you've visited and the experiences you had along the way using Google Earth. It lets you pick the locations right on the map, add in photos, text, and video, and then share your creation. I can envision it being used to let students explore places...maybe a tour of Ireland for St. Patrick's Day. If you would like to learn more about tour builder, check out the tutorial below. What are hyperdocs????
A hyperdoc is a term used to describe a Google Doc that contains an innovative lesson for students- a 21st Century worksheet, but much better. ... With one shortened link, students can access a lesson that contains instructions, links, tasks, and many clever ways to get kids thinking. If you remember the WebQuests of days gone by....hyperdocs are similar...only a whole lot better! If you would like to check out some examples of hyper docs, click on the link below.
Hampton High Talks Tech....
Each Tuesday at 3:20 at Hampton High, a handful of teachers come together to learn and discuss all things EdTech. Sometimes a teacher shares a tool or idea, and sometimes I share. The sessions only last about 20 minutes, but we accomplish a lot. If you would like to join us virtually from the comfort of you own desktop :) send me an email so I can send you the link to join us. debbie.turner@henry.k12.ga.us Collaboration is key!
