Our Next Task
Characters are pivotal in setting a story in motion. Each character comes with their own character traits (actions). They each respond differently to other characters, settings, and events.
You will read the novel, Charlie and the Chocolate Factory by Roald Dahl to explore the characters, themes, and other novel elements. Novels can bring light to lessons and messages for life--like things that really “matter.”
You will use what you discover about matter and the characters in the novel to become the next Willy Wonka by creating a new candy! You will need to ideate a recipe that would be delicious and connect to your character’s traits. You will sift through the recipes you have created and simulate the best idea by making that candy!
Finally, you will also take a stand as to why you created the candy based on that character in the book. You will advocate for the candy you created and how it connects with your character’s traits.Learning Focus
