Connecting Instruction to the Classroom

The Soares Institute of Neuroscience and Education (SINE) is a digital and print resource center, with original research instruments, open-access journals and publications, searchable databases, and access to research studies in the field of neuroscience at national and international conferences and symposia.

The SINE allows students, teachers, and researchers the opportunity to study neuroscience through education. The Institute features a spiral curriculum, building from the basics of neuroscientific information through the process, content, and interconnection of learning, as well as the measurement and assessment of learning, and the application of neuroscientific connections to everyday living. The SINE is committed to helping teachers understand brain activity and discovering ways in which to use that knowledge for enabling students to learn most effectively.
