The district is currently identifying the components of a standard RUSD 21st century classroom. The first phase focuses on providing teachers with the tools they need. This survey focuses on tools for the teacher only. We are concurrently working on the plan to standardize and increase student access to mobile devices across the district.
Please take a few minutes to provide your feedback by clicking on the link below. This will help inform next steps. Thank you.

Tokkers
Tokkers are talking QR Codes and mobile landing pages that let you add an audio message to anything. Anyone with a smartphone or iPad can instantly hear your message! You can add an image, video, links, headlines, and more! This would be a great way for kids to share knowledge and information learned during a unit of study. It could also be used by teachers or administrators for updates on homework, meetings, etc.

Spotlight on...
Skip is a 4th grade teacher how uses technology in a variety of ways. Using iPads minis and iPods, Skip has students practicing math and ELA individually and in groups. Some of his students' favorite tech tools include Code Squad where up to 4 students can battle each other at math facts, Front Row which provides differentiate math and ELA support, and Prodigy Math where students engage in a quest based on their math skills.
Skip uses survey tools such as Poll Everywhere to capture students' opinions and thoughts based on their reading. He also uses Skype and Google Hangouts to bring experts into the classroom virtually! Students are gearing up to interview a scientist from JPL who was featured in their science book! What an awesome way to bring the curriculum to life!
