News to Know

Week of March 6th

Be in the Know

Spring Break is upon us, I cannot believe it! Spring break is from March 13th-March 17th. I am going to spend it gardening, and drinking coffee on my back porch. I hope you are also doing something you enjoy.

Early release will take place March 10th at 12:40.

Choir

Some of you may have your calendar marked for a March Choir concert, there will be no Choir Concert in March.

Cheerleading

6th graders interested in being a MJH cheerleader- The mandatory tryout meeting is Monday, March 6th at 5:30 in the MJH Big Gym (parent/guardian must be in attendance)

For any student wanting to try out for Junior High Cheer Leader/Mascot, packets are available in the front office. All paperwork is due March 24th. Paperwork can be dropped off in our front office, and we will get it to the Junior High. Any other information you might need is in the packet.

2022-2023 Magnolia Intermediate Yearbooks

This year, we are doing all yearbook orders on-line. If you would like to order a yearbook for your child, please click on the link below and follow the instructions. We are attempting to streamline for efficiency and so will not be accepting any money at school for yearbooks. We feel that this way, parents can be confident that the purchase was made and not floating around the bottom of a backpack, lol.

Parents, we need your help. Students have been bringing energy drinks to school. Energy drinks are not allowed in classes or the hallways. We allow them at lunch, but they may not be shared or disturbed to other students. Also, we have seen an uptick in students using unkind words. We encourage kindness and respectful language at MIS. We are addressing this as we here it.

In closing, have a wonderful spring break!

Lisa Bertrand, MIS Principal
