TECH TALK - Bloom’s Digital Taxonomy

Bloom’s Taxonomy, well known to most educators, is a model that classifies different levels of human cognition in thinking, learning, and understanding. But in a digital age, educators are thinking about it as Bloom’s Digital Taxonomy. Check out this video that looks at an updated version that expands on the skills associated with each level as technology becomes a more engrained – and essential - part of learning.

FOR PARENTS: Money as You Grow Resources

In May 2012, the White House launched Money as You Grow—a new national initiative to teach parents the 20 things their kids need to know about money. The site is interactive featuring the 20 essential money milestones that kids need to know —along with behavior-changing, age-appropriate activities. The site has received positive reviews from parents and has reached over one million visitors since it was launched. Check it out here and download a pdf for use with your children.
