PCMS WEEKLY UPDATE

April 29, 2016

This past Wednesday evening, I had the honor of watching two of our very own PCMS staff members be recognized at the Northland Chamber of Commerce Excellence in Education Awards Banquet. This annual ceremony recognizes the best of the best in education in the Northland area. Ms. Waddell, a 6th grade science teacher, was nominated and awarded for her positive leadership in the school and outstanding dedication to her students. Mrs. Tammy Kobush, our nurse, was nominated for her amazing service to our students in keeping them healthy and feeling great here at PCMS. It was an amazing evening listening to the stories of educators and how they do everything they can to help their students succeed and grow into awesome young people. It makes us all #pcmsproud to know that we have such incredible adults here working with our youth.

Spring Band Concert Changes

In an effort to improve the concert experience for everyone attending a PCMS band concert, we have created a new format for our band performances at the Wilson Auditorium. We will now have two concerts that evening instead of one.

The 6-7th Grade Concert

  • Begins at 6:30 with students arriving between 6:10 and 6:25
  • Parking is at the north end of the PCHS campus (closest to Dairy Queen)
  • Families will exit the auditorium through the rear doors

The 8th Grade Concert

  • Begins at 7:15 with students arriving between 6:50 and 7:10
  • Parking is on the south end of the PCHS campus.
  • Please do not arrive prior to 6:50 as the 6-7th concert will be ending at this time and the school will be full of those families leaving
  • Families will enter the auditorium through the side hall entrance

We will have parent volunteers assisting with parking and entering and exiting the auditorium. Our hope is that this helps with the large crowds and makes for a more enjoyable evening for everyone.
