What's Up in the Classroom

Math

Students are finishing up division and will test next week!

Science

The students will work on their flashlights next week. They should bring in any supplies they need to create a flashlight. They are allowed to be creative and utilize whatever they choose. You are not required to purchase supplies, this is optional only. They are creating designs that are practical, unique and easy to operate. Once created they have to choose a way to present them to the classroom. This could be an Explain Everything, an iMovie, a skit or a commercial. They will be presenting them next week and the following week. Please look at Schoology if you would like to see the lessons we do each day!

Language Arts

This week we worked on prepositional phrases and how to use them. We did some note taking and took a short Kahoot quiz on them. Look in Schoology for our Language Arts Notebook and you will find examples.

Writing

Students are still working on opinion pieces as well as a Winter Wonder Writing Piece. These have been posted outside in the hallway! Ask your child what they wondered and summarized about!
