Over 2,500 schools have hired him to speak allowing him to reach 2 million students face-to-face. His viral videos have amassed more than 300 million views worldwide.
Dr. Gibbs will present to our students on November 3rd and we are inviting the public to see his presentation the prior evening, November 2nd, from 7:00 - 7:45pm in the high school media center. This is a free event!
Please RSVP here by October 31st.

Parent Teacher Conferences
Scoir
For any seniors who plan on attending a four-year university, many schools have their first wave of early deadlines November 1st. Students should submit their college applications first, then add the school in Scoir in order for your counselor to send the transcript, as well as any letter(s) of recommendation that may be required. If you are choosing to report your ACT/SAT scores, you will send those directly from the testing sites. The ACT scores come from ACT.org and SAT scores come from CollegeBoard. Please see your counselor should you have any questions.
Another great feature of Scoir is that it showcases upcoming college rep visits where students can register ahead of time to meet with college admission reps during ICE and lunch blocks . Below is an upcoming schedule:
Mon., 10/17: University of Toledo
Wed, 10/19: The University of Akron (Main Campus)
Fri., 10/21: Youngstown State University
Mon., 10/24: Baldwin Wallace University
Wed., 10/26: Ursuline College
Thurs., 10/27: The Ohio State University (Main Campus)
HOBY Youth Leadership - Sophomores
At HOBY, high school sophomores learn to inspire through leadership development programs. State Leadership Seminars are three to four day residential programs, typically held on a college or university campus. Virtual Leadership Seminars are two to three day live online programs that allow students to participate from the safety of their own home without the need to travel.
This year's HOBY seminar will be in June at John Carroll University, the exact dates will be determined. One sophomore will be chosen to represent Perry High School at the HOBY seminar next summer. Applications are available in the school counseling office. The deadline for returning applications is Thursday, November 17. Interviews will be conducted on Monday, November 21.
Buckeye Boys/Girls State - Juniors

All Buckeye Boys State Delegates will be required to attend a local orientation meeting in April or May 2022. Additional information on the program can be found online at www.ohiobuckeyeboysstate.com. Buckeye Girls State Delegates will be required to complete an online orientation at www.buckeyegirlsstate.org.
