Do Students Get the Accommodations on their Individual Learning Plan when taking the WIDA ACCESS test?
No, the ILP accommodations do not apply for WIDA ACCESS testing.
How Long Will it Take to Adminster WIDA ACCESS tests?
Times will vary based on tiers, but here are some general guidelines for planning:
Listening - Up to 40 minutes
Reading - Up to 35 minutes
Speaking - Up to 30 minutes
Writing - Up to 65 minutes
170 minutes total test time
Can I Choose the Order for Administering the Four Tests for WIDA ACCESS?
The Speaking test is generally given to a small group of students at a time (3-5 students.) The students will need to have plenty of space between them during the Speaking Test so the microphone can clearly record their responses. The Writing test can be administered to a larger group of students at a time.

WIDA's Focus Bulletin on Scaffolding Learning for Multilingual Students in Math provides tools for educators to provide helpful feedback and the right amount of support, to help students use the language of math, and to encourage original thinking in the math classroom.
