From The Principal:

It's hard to believe how fast this year has gone! Our 2017-2018 District Calendar has been released. Please see the link below to access this calendar so you can plan and prepare for the next school year. Also, please note that our student start and stop times are also changing for next year. Students will start at 7:50 and dismiss at 3:10. Although this is a minor change, we want everyone to be aware of the change so you can plan appropriately.

Don't forget that next week is another round of benchmark testing for several grade levels on campus. Due to testing, we will have a closed campus, with no parent visitors or observations on Tuesday or Wednesday.

Also, Monday is a Professional Development Day for our staff, so no school for students. Enjoy another 3 day weekend!

Thanks for your continued support!

Counselor's Corner :

Our campus will be conducting Spring Benchmark testing on Feb 28-March 1. We want to provide some information so you can plan ahead:

*we will have a closed campus on these days. Parents will not be allowed to volunteer, do classroom observations, or eat lunch with their students.

*please make every effort to have your students at school on time

*please try to avoid picking your students up early on these days! We want children to have the experience of what STAAR testing will feel like and students cannot be picked up early during STAAR testing

*please be prepared to send 3rd-6th grade students with a healthy, non-messy snack and a bottle of water on these days. Hungry students cannot do their best!

*be aware that the cafeteria will only offer sack lunches on these testing days. If you order a school lunch, it will be a sack lunch that students will eat in their classrooms.

Thank you parents for your help! Our spring benchmark test is very important because it helps us plan our instruction for the rest of the spring to make sure your students are successful AND it gives teachers and students a chance to “practice” STAAR routines so everyone feels more comfortable and relaxed during STAAR testing in March and May.
