Principal's Newsletter

From the Desk of Russ Booth

July 28, 2022

Good Morning Mansfield Families,

My name is Russ Booth, and I am proud to introduce myself as the new Principal of Mansfield High School. It is an honor and a privilege to be taking on this role, and as a proud resident of Mansfield, I look forward to working with families to ensure each student has an enjoyable and transformative experience during their time at Mansfield High.

As a resident of Mansfield, I have a vested interest in ensuring that each student receives a quality education and attains the skills necessary to be successful in their future pursuits after high school. Over the course of my career, I have developed my core philosophy in education that can be simply stated by the phrase “Every kid, every day, no exceptions.” This phrase encapsulates my approach to the education and development of our students. Each student and family will get my best effort to support their student in achieving their potential not only in their time at MHS but in life after graduation.

Over the course of the summer and into my first year in the position, I look forward to learning about the many facets that make Mansfield High School great, meeting and working with families, and hearing about ways in which we can best support our students and families during their time at MHS. I will provide updates through our newsletter during the remainder of the summer, so please be on the lookout for those. Until then, I hope you continue to have an enjoyable and relaxing summer!

Sincerely,

Russ Booth

Principal

Senior Portrait Update

We have received a few questions regarding senior portraits, and I would like to take the opportunity to clarify and answer these questions here.

Do students need to make an appointment if they have already booked a session with another company?

No, seniors are under no obligation to use Lifetouch/Prestige for their senior portrait session.

Is there a requirement for background and setting for senior portraits this year?

No. If students have used their own photographer, they can submit the photo to the yearbook staff. The only requirement for yearbook photos is to have a vertical senior portrait.

If families plan to use Lifetouch/Prestige and you have scheduling questions, you can reach out to them directly at 800-736-4775 or 800-426-9533 x16347.

If families have further questions, please don't hesitate to call the main office, but I hope these two key points help to clarify some confusion. Further information pertaining to seniors and the yearbook can be expected in our summer mailing and future newsletters.
