RDA

The confidential (unmasked) 2022 Results Driven Accountability (RDA) district report, data download, and significant disproportionality indicators report for your LEA are now available through the Accountability application on the Texas Education Agency Login (TEAL) website. TEA is asking you to review the data and return any comments by 107/22.

Official Accountability ratings will be released in October and SSPs will be due December 16, 2022.

ESC 18 will be having our RDA training on November 17th, 9-12 here at the ESC Session #: 495728

Please refer to the 2022 RDA Manual for detailed descriptions of the methodology and data sources for each of the 2022 RDA indicators.

ATAC/APAC

The accountability policy and technical advisory committees are being combined into one, blended committee. The new committee, the Texas Accountability Advisory Group (TAAG), will continue the important work related to providing the commissioner of education with recommendations related to the academic accountability system. TAAG membership will consist of a cross-section of districts, advocacy groups, and public stakeholders. A list of members can be found on the 2023 Development page.

Phase-In Timeline for IBCs and Programs of Study (Accountability)

Students who graduated in 2021-22 having earned an IBC under the current IBC/CCMR rules will receive CCMR credit for 2023 Accountability. Sunset IBCs will continue to generate A–F credit for 2023 and 2024 graduates, and Program-of-Study requirements may be phased in over three years, to allow school systems to transition the career preparation programs.

However, TEA has proposed a phase-in plan over the next few years whereby in order for an IBC to count for CCMR purposes, the IBC would have to be coupled with a Program of Study. This proposed phase-in plan is part of TEA’s proposed redesign of accountability beginning with 2023 Accountability.

Crosswalk and Updated Frameworks

TEA has released or updated materials. The first is a Crosswalk of IBCs to Aligned Programs of Study. The Crosswalk identifies the aligned Program of Study for each IBC.

TEA has also updated the following websites on its webpage:

The updated websites include

  • new and sunsetting IBCs,
  • recently approved courses within Programs of Study, and
  • an updated nondiscrimination statement.

The documents available on these websites are designed to be easily editable by districts to reflect local course and IBC offerings and to provide district contact information.

CCMR and Military Enlistment

  • The submission window for 2024 annual graduates will occur in spring 2025, and so forth. TEA will review and securely store the DD Form 4.

  • If a district cannot obtain the DD Form 4 or does not upload the form during the official submission process, military enlistment credit will not be awarded.
