LADY DOGS

WCHS GIRLS BASKETBALL TEAM
Wheeler County High school had a determined group of young ladies who dedicated their time and efforts to the game of basketball. 9th-12th grade girls got their time to shine on the court. The Lady Dogs were coached by Mrs. Angelia Wright and Coach Michael Wright. The girls started training and conditioning in October and began playing games in November.
The team's hard work paid off for them. The Lady Dogs' record continued to improve as they represented their school as the #1 team in the region. They also made it to the elite eight and were promoted to the next chapter of their journey, the Final Four. Unfortunately, they lost but fought a really good game. The Lady Dogs had a mindset for greatness from the start. Even though they didnt make it to the championship, they had great sportsmanship. They went far this year, but next year they will go farther.
