Green Screen - Natural Disaster Projects
Fourth grade students are working on natural disaster projects. One thing many students are doing for the project is using a green screen and filming news reports "live" from the scene of their disasters. The enterprising students above are using the mats in the gym as their green screen.

Dragon Lunch Bunch Spotlight - Mrs. Moen's Group
Currently reading Geronimo Stilton: Phantom of the Subway
When asked about DLB and their book, the students said...
- Their book is funny
- Most of the students were in DLB last year, but one student is trying it for the first time this year
- He's enjoying DLB and said, "It's actually kind of cool because when we meet we get to hold a squishy thing that's kind of like a worm. We each named ours and Mrs. Moen said that we get to keep them at the end of the year!"
OLPA testing
The MCA (Minnesota Comprehensive Assessment) tests will begin this spring. However, our students have the opportunity to take the OLPA (online practice assessment) test in preparation for the MCAs. They will begin taking the OLPA tests in reading and math next week. The scores from the OLPAs are not reported; however, the test gives the students a good idea of how the MCAs will look along with the types of questions that will be asked.
