We are getting ready next school year. Course selection for 21-22 will begin next month.
Every 9th, 10th and 11th-grade student should visit our new career info and planning services called Xello (this is the improved replacement for Career Cruising). Below you can see a link to more info on how to log on to Xello.
The goal for February is for you to have some ideas about a career pathway. Your counselor is available to help along the way. Spend some time on Xello, you will like it, and reach out to your counselor for career and college help.
March will be high school course selection month. Next month you will be able to use PowerSchool to select your courses for the 21-22 school year.
Also in March, you will meet one-on-one with your counselor. We will talk with you about your career ideas and course selections. We can answer questions and talk to you about graduation requirements. So, stay tuned to your email and to Schoology for info about when you will be meeting with your counselor.
To anticipate a question you may have regarding next school year and what it may look like here is a statement we would like to share: “Course requests, enrollment, and staffing will determine our scheduling decisions, so at this point being in the CVVA or in person is not a determination we need to make. More information will be forthcoming.”
So for everything related to courses for next school year, pay close attention to our updates, sign up for our Remind (see below), check your Schoology updates. Thank you.
