Parents we need your Feedback!
Graves Dual Language School Parents please click on the following link and take a few minutes to provide us with feedback so that we can continue to evaluate our practice and procedures to continue to improve.
If students purchased the “2023 Field Day T-Shirt” they are to wear it on this day. If students did not purchase the shirt, they may come out of uniform but please encourage your child to dress comfortably, bring a hat/sunglasses (if sunny), and a towel or change of clothing in case they get too wet due to the water game station.
Please make sure students bring their own water bottles to the event
(name written on them preferably).
TRANSFERRING OUT?
Parents, if you have moved out of district during the 2022/2023 school year or plan on moving out, please contact the Graves School Office for official transfer paperwork.

☀️😎12 SCHOOL DAYS UNTIL SUMMER BREAK!!😎☀️
- Please keep sick students at home and encourage frequent handwashing to protect others.
Students should stay home until they are well enough to participate and are fever free for 24 hours without fever reducing medication. Once your student starts improving, please test for covid and send back to school with a negative result ASAP!
- Washing your hands is easy, and it's the most effective way to prevent the spread of germs... Especially stomach bugs!
- Covid home test kits will continue to be given to students sent home with covid symptoms for the remainder of the school year.
“Once a week, take a peek” We continue to see lice cases; please check your child’s hair weekly to prevent an outbreak in your home.
Please ensure students wear short sleeve school uniform shirts as the weather warms up. Consider sending your child with a water bottle to school to fill at the water fountain to stay hydrated.

2-1-1 Helpline now available!
Chicago and suburban Cook County residents now have access to a local 2-1-1 service—changing the landscape for how we meet the needs of our neighbors. 2-1-1 is a free, 24/7/365 service that connects them to essential health and social service support and information during times of non-emergency crisis and for everyday needs.
Important for residents:
Call 9-1-1 for emergencies.
Call 3-1-1 or call your city or village office for municipal or local government services if 3-1-1 is not available in your community.
Call 9-8-8 for the suicide and crisis lifeline.

Field Trips are in full effect!
Kindergarten and 1st graders took a cultural field trip to the "The Old Town School of Folk Music and Folklore Center." They were given the opportunity to see the Latin Grammy award winning duo of Andrés and Christina (123 Andrés) as they brought joyful sounds, a passion for bilingualism, and a high-energy love of music that got our students dancing and singing in Spanish and English.
Second graders took a field trip to the Kids Science Lab.
This trip gave students an opportunity to experience and understand the science they see everyday
as they experimented with hands-on science activities.
4th Grade students took a cultural field trip to the "The Old Town School of Folk Music and Folklore Center." They were given the opportunity to see the Movement Revolution Dance Jammin' with the Boombox: History of Hip Hop Concert.
