Developmental Psychology Applications are available for Juniors.
Developmental Psychology is a unique senior course in which students develop close relationships with their senior classmates, become role models for 6th grade students and learn about psychology. The course is two hours a day for a full year with smaller class sizes and covers 2 of the required social studies credits with students having to take the one trimester Economics course as well. Embedded within DP is the Minnesota State - Mankato concurrent enrollment course KSP 150 (3 credits). The same college course material will be taught within the high school setting. MSU has specific admission requirements (21 ACT score and/or 3.0 GPA) to be eligible for college credit. However, you do not have to be enrolled in MSU to take DP. Junior students who are selected into the program work with the 6th graders on a weekly basis teaching the district's chemical prevention education curriculum including healthy decision-making, life skills and drug education. Applications are available in the Counseling Office or online on the front EHS page with the AP courses. If you or your student have any questions, please contact Social Studies teachers Lisa Langenhahn, Krista Pawlicki or Mitch Snobeck. An informational meeting will be held in Lecture Room B at 2:35 on Tuesday, December 5th. Applications are due January 5th 3:00 pm.

Matchmaker
After we sent out the Matchmaker message and link to fill out the survey we remembered that some of you have no idea what the Matchmaker Survey is with Covid and our last couple years of school!! Here is some information for you:
- Matchmaker is completely optional. There is no cost to fill out the survey. There is $1.00 fee to get your printed results - this is to offset the cost Student Government must pay for the forms.
- Matchmaker is a fun survey to see who you are most like and unlike at school. In addition, to “matching” you with other students you will receive fun birthday facts such as: who else at EHS shares your special day, what famous people also share this day, how many heartbeats you’ve had, etc. Please see below examples:
- Here is a sample of the front of your results: Front of Matchmaker Results
- Here is a sample of the back of your results: Back of Matchmaker Results
- The survey questions are silly and fun and match you up with students that have similar answers.
Thank you!
