St. Stanislaus STAR

January 21 , 2016

Catholic Schools Week is coming soon! A schedule was sent home a few weeks ago, and more details will be coming as we get closer. You will find a flyer about Catholic Schools with the STAR today. Also with the STAR today is information regarding the Spaghetti Dinner. We are looking for some stellar family acts for the Talent Show on Friday, Feb. 5. Have you started practicing?

Thanks to all who were able to attend the Home and School Meeting last week. It was announced at that meeting that St. Stanislaus School students will be singing “Take Me out to the Ballgame” at Busch Stadium when the St. Louis Cardinals take on the Pirates on Thursday, July 7, 2016. It is a 12:45 game. This is being arranged to honor our music teacher Carole Hirsch. It had long been her dream to take the St. Stan students to sing at a Cardinal game. We are very excited to be able to make this happen in her memory. Details about the event are being worked out and will be communicated. Please check your calendar to see if your family can be a part of this celebration. At this time we do not yet know which students will actually do the singing, but we have a special St. Stan Section where we can all be a part of the celebration. There are many details to work out. Keep watch in the STAR for more information. What a great way to honor Miss Hirsch!

St. Stanislaus School is hosting a Speech Meet this Saturday, Jan. 23 at our school. We look forward to welcoming the other schools and sharing our hospitality.

Have a blessed weekend.

Once again our 4th grade girls placed 1st, 2nd, 3rd and 4th for the 4th grade girls.

Liz Drainer, Lainey Hood, Izzy Herrbold and Anna Imhoff in that order.

Elyse Imhoff placed 1st for 3rd grade girls.

Alyssa Gipe continues to be the high score shooter for our school with a score of 270 again this week. She placed 2nd for 6th grade girls and 8th overall for Middle School girls. This gave her the highest rank on our team of 11th place for girls in all divisions.

Madelyn Luebbering was 4th for 8th grade girls, Eli Bruemmer was 7th and William Herrbold was 8th for 6th grade boys.

Elementary teams are 3rd through 5th and Middle school is 6th through 8th.
